San Fernando Island

Bordering the San Fernando Island, enjoy the view of thecolorful houses, docks, boats on the shore of the lake. A footpath crosses the entire town, passing between the houses, and passing through parts of theisland, to reach the Solentiname Museum, past the House of Artists Workshop.Solentiname Museum, MUSE, was founded by ACRA – Association for Cooperation in Africa and Latin America – in 2000, with the collaboration of several institutions and with local community participation in the archipelagoand its artists. Visit the MUSES means traveling through space and time in the islands. The course is based on pictures and objects on a raft made ​​bypainters and artisans Solentiname, which thus provide a very owncharacteristic image of the archipelago. In each section you can see paintingsand carvings on a raft representing the flora, fauna, life on the islands. The House of the Artists Workshop in Solentiname is a project of the Union ofArtists and Craftsmen Solentiname (UPAS) founded in 1998 and aims topromote art in the archipelago. In the House Workshop will appreciate the works of artists Solentiname both balsa wood crafts and primitive painting.
